Carl Froch and Lucian Bute met the press yesterday to talk about their upcoming fight on May 26th. This is going to be a special one for a couple of reasons. Firstly, despite being taken apart by Andre Ward, Carl Froch is still one of the best super middleweights in the world. He certainly has a claim to be Britain's pound-for-pound number one. Bute isn't too bad himself; he's the IBF champion, undefeated in thirty and has looked in trouble in only one fight in a nine year career (that was a tricky final round vs Librado Andrade).

The second reason this is such a good fight is that it is a homecoming, and we all love seeing these. Over the course of the Super Six tournament Carl Froch traveled more than a Lady Gaga tour, taking in the sights of Conneticut, Herning (Denmark), Helsinki, Atlantic City and New Jersey. If anyone deserves a fight in their own backyard, it's Carl Froch, and in his press conference he seemed excited about getting to fight in front of his fans. Lucian Bute is on the opposite side of the tracks - in thirty fights, he's stepped outside of Canada only four times, and three of those were in America, so not exactly a long stretch. It's about time Bute did some travelling.

Have a look at the Froch v Bute press conference. It should get you excited about the fight.
