Zab Judah fights Vernon Paris tonight - find out all you need to know here

The last time we saw Zab Judah in the ring he was bent over, his arms clutching his stomach and the cry of "low blow" floating from his lips. He was outclassed by a faster, precise Amir Khan, and that night is not one that Zab Judah will want to remember. He certainly won't want it to be the image he goes out on.

Tonight he gets chance to make up for it. Vernon Paris isn't as high-profile an opponent as Amir Khan, but he's unbeaten and has a lot of hype. If Zab can beat him, it will go a long way to restoring the veteran fighter's reputation. On the flip side, if Vernon Paris can pull off a convincing win tonight, then this fight will serve as his coming out party. Let's take a look at how the two compare.

                                       Zab Judah                  Vernon Paris
Age                                 34                               24
Height                             5'7 1/2"                      5'7"
Record                            41-7-0 (28KO)          26-5-0 (15KO)
Last 5                              LWWWW                 WWWWW
Biggest Win                  Cory Spinks (x2)          Tim Coleman

There's something obvious that we need to discuss here - Vernon Paris hasn't fought anyone even approaching Zab Judah's standard yet. This is a massive step up for him and I feel it will be too much. Zab has masses more ring savvy and at 34 he still has speed and power - attributes Vernon Paris can't match up to. I think we're going to see Zab Judah win by knockout tonight, sending him hurtling into a IBF junior welterweight title fight with Lamont Peterson or Amir Khan (unless the winner opts not to keep the belt).

Zab Judah vs Vernon Paris TV Info
It's another late one for UK boxing fans, with Zab and Vernon due to get in the ring at 2AM. I'm not a massive fan of having to stay up into the early hours, but this isn't the worse time. Do you remember how many fights were on at 4am for us last year? Too many, but that's what you get for following a sport whose home base is in America.

If you're joining me and staying up for this fight, you will have to hunt for it on the net. Sky Sports have picked up Erik Morales vs Danny Garcia instead, and BoxNation don't have it. If you're from the US, it's being shown on NBC. Plus you'll get to watch it at a reasonable time. They're spoiling you.
