James Toney takes on Bobby Gunn at Heavyweight

James 'Lights Out' Toney (73-7 44 KO) will fight Bobby 'The Celtic Warrior' Gunn (21-4 18KO) this Saturday at the Landers centre, Mississippi, USA for something called the IBA Heavyweight championship. Both fighters lost their previous fights, Toney was dominated over twelve rounds by Denis Lebedev, Gunn was dominated and stopped in-between the fourth and fifth rounds by Tomasz Adamek.

Both boxers need to win this fight big for the sake of their careers, but if I'm being honest, James Toney shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a boxing ring, but for whatever reason he has been licensed to fight and if he wants to box again at championship level then a win over Bobby Gunn is a start.

Gunn has twice fought for a world title, beating James Toney doesn't warrant a third world title fight, but he has to start somewhere.

Gunn hasn't fought since 2009 because he has had a stint in the Bare Knuckle Boxing world. On the 5th of August 2011 he fought in the first sanctioned bare knuckle fight since 1889. Gunn beat Richard Stewart to become the bare knuckle boxing heavyweight champion.

So after becoming the heavyweight champion at bare knuckle boxing, Gunn has decided to put his boxing gloves back on in order to try and become the heavyweight champion of the world. However I can't see that happening in a million years, I'd be surprised if he gets past a shot James Toney.
