Floyd Mayweather Jr is regarded by many as the best pound for pound boxer in the world. Three weeks ago, he fought Miguel Cotto and won by a unanimous decision in a very entertaining fight. Although it appears Mayweather has slowed down a little, he is still good enough to outpoint the elite level boxers in the sport today.

Mayweather has a 90 day jail sentence to attend to on the 1st of June, so the earliest he can fight again is around November/December. Let's take a look at four possible opponents who Mayweather could fight, should he choose to fight at the end of this year.

Robert 'The Ghost' Guerrero - Guerrero is scheduled to fight against Selcuk Aydin on the 28th of July, for the interim WBC Welterweight title. If he beats Aydin, Guerrero will become the mandatory challenger for Mayweather's WBC Welterweight title. If Mayweather chooses to return to Welterweight, a fight with Guerrero could be next.

Amir 'King' Khan - Mayweather has said on more than one occasion that it is his dream to one day fight in the UK. The biggest name in British boxing today is Amir Khan, who only fights one division below Welterweight, which is the weight Mayweather is most effective. Khan will fight WBC Light Welterweight champion Danny Garcia in July, if he wins Khan said his aim is to move up to Welterweight and fight Floyd Mayweather.

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez - According to Richard Schaefer (CEO of GoldenBoy) Saul Alvarez calls him on a day-to-day basis asking him for a fight with Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather once listed Alvarez as a potential future opponent and Mayweather recently won the WBA Super World Light Middleweight title. Alvarez is a champion at Light Middleweight, and has a huge following in Mexico, a unification fight between Mayweather and Alvarez would be a mega money fight for everyone involved.

So that's my list of three fighters who I think Mayweather will fight next.

Do you agree with the guys on my list? More importantly, who do you think Floyd Mayweather Jr will fight next?
