Four Heavyweights from all over the World will participate in this years Heavyweight Prize-fighter

The next Heavyweight Prize-fighter tournament will take place on the 20th of June at York Hall, Bethnal Green, which always has a great atmosphere. As usual there will be eight combatants for Prize-fighter, four of the contestants have been named today.

UK Heavyweight Tom Dallas will take part in the tournament. Dallas has lost his last two fights by knock-out, so he is in need of a good win, and winning Prize-fighter would certainly make up for his two defeats.

We will see Kevin 'Kingpin' Johnson at York Hall in June, Johnson was scheduled to compete in the last Heavyweight Prize-fighter but he couldn't come over to the UK because of passport problems. If Johnson were to impressively win Prize-fighter, he will be in the mix to get another world title fight.

Ex World Title challenger Kali Meehan is coming off a loss to Travis Walker, so a win in Prize-fighter will save his career. With a 72% knock-out ratio, Meehan will be dangerous in a tournament like this.

Former EBU Heavyweight champion Albert Sosnowski is another Heavyweight who will be competing in Prize-fighter to try and revive his career, which looks to be coming to an end based on his recent form.

That is an impressive line-up for Prize-fighter so far, and with four more names to be announced, the line-up will only get better. I don't know when the other four contestants will be announced, but Prize-fighter creator Eddie Hearn told his followers on Twitter:

"Other fighters invited (waiting response) include.. Martin Rogan - John McDermott and Deontay Wilder - More news soon."

If Rogan, McDermott and Wilder were added to the Heavyweight Prize-fighter line-up, then next months Prize-fighter could possibly be the best one yet.
