Breidis Prescott is the perfect opponent for Amir Khan right now

Following his knock-out loss to Danny Garcia last month, many of you have your own take on who Amir Khan should fight next. Some are saying a rematch with Garcia, a fight with Ortiz, a big UK fight with Kell Brook and some of you are even calling on Khan to retire.

But I think the perfect fight for Khan right now is a rematch with Breidis Prescott in the UK. Khan has lost two fights in a row, he can't fight for a world title next, so to get a title shot, he needs to beat a good contender, Prescott matches this description. Prescott won his most recent fight, and presuming he get's the 'W' in two weeks time, he will be on a two fight win-streak.

Khan also needs to gain some respect back after being badly beat by Garcia, fighting and beating a big punching, dangerous opponent like Prescott would earn Khan back some of the credibility he lost in Las Vegas. It would also be a great opportunity for Khan to avenge the most embarrassing defeat on his resume.

Prescott is a big name in the UK, not just for beating Khan, but Prescott is well known for his scraps with Kevin Mitchell and Paul McCloskey, both fights were shown live on Sky Sports.

I think the fight should be at Welterweight, Prescott looks like he is moving up in weight and I think Khan should do the same, there is some big fights for Khan at Welterweight if he were to beat Prescott. No I'm not talking about Floyd Mayweather. I can see Khan re-matching Paulie Malignaggi, who has a belt at 147.

I'm repeating myself, but a fight between Amir Khan and Breidis Prescott, at Welterweight, in the UK, is the fight Amir and GoldenBoy should be going for.

But the fight won't be easy, I think Prescott gives Khan the brawler, and Khan the boxer a run for his money. If Khan turns up to brawl, he likely get's stopped, if he turns up to box, he likely wins a close competitive fight.
