For once it appears that Froch is going for an 'unknown' opponent for his next fight

Oosthuizen (right) could fight Carl Froch in the UK

Carl Froch is scheduled to fight in December this year, guys like Kelly Pavlik and Mikkel Kessler have been rumoured to be Froch's opponent, but it appears that unbeaten, Thomas Oosthuizen (20-0 13KO) is the leading candidate to fight Froch in the UK.

Many of you reading this may be displeased that Froch might fight unknown, Oosthuizen, but after watching Oosthuizen's most recent fight against Rowland Bryant, I think a Froch/Oosthuizen fight would be an excellent one.

Oosthuizen is a tall (6ft 4), aggressive southpaw who throws eye-catching combination's. But his defence is below average, he get's hit more than he should, but his granite chin has helped him take the big blows so far.

Make your own mind up, here is a video of Oosthuizen in action against Rowland Bryant in the 11th and 12th rounds of their fight, courtesy of texasaustin84:

I'm not saying I'd pick Oosthuizen to beat Froch, but at the very least he will have his moments. Froch will likely take advantage of Oosthuizen's shaky defence and inexperience to win a competitive decision. I don't see Froch stopping Oosthuizen, who like I said earlier, has a granite chin.

So, if you have seen Oosthuizen fight, what do you think of him? How far can he go? What are your thoughts on a potential fight between him and Froch? Could he upset Froch?
