It's time to take a look at the fixtures for week five for our Boxing Prediction League, I called the fixtures for week three and four the best yet, well I'm going to say it again because this up-coming weekend is another great one for fight fans worldwide.

Here is the League Table after Week Four.

1) Sergio Martinez Vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr - This is the big fight of the weekend, the bout most fan are looking forward to. The winner of this fight (providing it's a fair win) is THE Middleweight champion of the world.

This time last year, the popular opinion was that Martinez would be too good for Jr, but since Jr destroyed Andy Lee, I've seen a lot of people change their opinion completely. Their has been a lot of back and forth trash-talking between the two, add that to their crowd pleasing style's and you have an excellent fight.

Two things to take into consideration before you make your prediction; Will losing a lot of weight finally catch-up with Chavez Jr? Is Martinez still in his prime at thirty seven years of age?

2) Jhonny Gonzalez Vs Daniel Ponce De Leon - This fight is for the WBC Featherweight Title, and the bout is on the under-card of Saul Alvarez's fight with Josesito Lopez. Both these guys are skilled veterans with a big punch, both are very experienced and may be coming towards the end of their careers.

This fight should be very entertaining while it lasts.

3) Yoan Pablo Hernandez Vs Troy Ross - IBF Cruiserweight champion, Yoan Pablo Hernandez will make the second defence of his title this weekend, his opponent is former challenger for the title, Troy Ross. Ross fought then champion, Steve Cunningham for the title back in 2010, although Ross lost on a TKO from a cut, he had Cunningham down in the fourth round.

Just like the previous fixture, both guys in this fight have knock-out power, and both have been stopped before. This is a very intriguing fight, it would be good to see the winner of this take on the winner of Guillermo Jones/Denis Lebedev later in the year.

4) Matthew Macklin Vs Joachim Alcine - The only Brit on the fixtures list this weekend, Matthew Macklin will look to get back to winning ways on the Martinez/Chavez Jr under-card, he takes on an in-form Joachim Alcine.

In Alcine's last fight he earned a career best victory in winning a majority decision against David Lemieux in Canada. Macklin lost his last two fights to elite competition, this is a good test for him against a top ten ranked contender. This fight will show us how much Macklin has left, and whether he is good enough to beat a belt holder in the Middleweight division.

5) Saul Alvarez Vs Josesito Lopez - Another World Title fight on the fixtures list this week, WBC Light Middleweight champion, Saul Alvarez will take on Josesito Lopez. Lopez shocked the world earlier this year when he moved up in weight and stopped Victor Ortiz, however many of you think that moving up in weight again is a tough ask for Lopez.

But, Richard Schaefer (Golden Boy CEO) has said on more than one occasion that the same people who are saying Lopez is too small for Alvarez said the same thing before he fought Victor Ortiz. One thing's for sure, you can expect Lopez to give his all in this fight.

Here is a video of Josesito Lopez's victory over Victor Ortiz courtesy of moneyt481:

6) Marcos Maidana Vs Jesus Soto Karass - One of the hardest punchers p4p in the sport is back in action this weekend. Marcos Maidana is scheduled to have his second fight in the Welterweight division, his opponent is contender, Jesus Soto Karass.

Karass has never fought for a World Title, but he has fought good opposition, he lost a technical decision to Alfonso Gomez, he lost a majority decision to Mike Jones in a fight which most people fought he won, and he lost another decision to Jones in a more one-sided rematch.

Before his last fight, I suspect many of you would have picked Maidana to beat Karass big time, but Maidana looked average in his fight against Devon Alexander, so people are questioning whether he is still in his prime, and still has knock-out power.

In this fight we will know for sure.
