Lee 'Lights out' Purdy will take on Carson Jones in December, Eddie Hearn confirmed the fight, Via Twitter:

"Delighted to confirm we have made Lee Purdy Vs Carson Jones for December - confirmation of a date and venue coming soon..what a fight #war"

The announcement obviously had a great reaction with the fans, because Hearn later Tweeted:

"Wow you love that fight."

It is a great fight, and I think this is one of those fights that is guaranteed to be exciting, but the outcome of the fight is easy to predict, in my opinion. The Punchbag Blog prediction is Jones by stoppage, in the middle rounds of the fight. But Purdy will give his all while he's in the ring, no doubt about that.

I can definitely see the winner of this bout fighting Kell Brook in one or two fights time. Purdy and Brook are Match-room fighters, so that will be an easy fight for Eddie Hearn to make if Purdy pulled it off. Jones and Brook fought in a "Fight of the year candidate" earlier in the year, the rematch would make sense, but I only see it happening if Brook wins a world title.

But going back to my prediction, Purdy does struggle with boxers, and Jones doesn't 'box' on the back foot, but I think of him as a much better version of Lee Purdy. This fight kind of reminds me of the John Murray/Brandon Rios fight, the only difference is that I regard Jones as a better fighter than Rios, and Murray as a better fighter than Purdy, so I see Jones/Purdy being more one-sided than Murray/Rios if that makes any sense.
