After some very interesting boxing action over the weekend, let's take a look at the League Table for our Boxing Prediction League after Week 9. But first, here are the results from the fights that took place on Friday and Saturday night.

1) Lucas Matthysse (KO) Vs Mike Dallas Jr
2) Selcuk Aydin Vs Jesus Soto Karass (Decision)
3) Serhiy Dzinziruk Vs Brian Vera (KO)

Lucas Matthysse again impressed fights fans as he scored a spectacular one punch knock-out over Light Welterweight contender, Mike Dallas Jr. The KO was brutal, and came in the first round after some quiet exchanges. Matthysse is 30 years old and in the form of his career, he needs the big fights right now.

Jesus Soto Karass brought his boxing career at world level back to life as he out-worked and out-fought the tough, Selcuk Aydin. Aydin had his moments, but the change of coaches seemed to confuse him as his style changed several times mid-fight. Aydin should go back to his tight guard, constant pressure style that caused Robert Guerrero problems. Karass deserves another big fight against the likes of Andre Berto, Paulie Malignaggi or a rematch against Marcos Maidana.

Brian Vera also saved his career with a tenth round stoppage win over former Light Middleweight world champion, Serhiy Dzinziruk in a very exciting bout. Vera is rumoured to be in consideration to take on unbeaten middleweight world champion, Gennady Golovkin. Dzinziruk should now call it a day, he didn't quite make it to elite level, but as a former world champion he has a lot to be proud of.
